Mock NYC is the 8th edition of the Mock series of conferences:
- Mock Santiago 2016
- Mock Perth 2017
- Mock Durham 2018
- Mock Cordoba 2019
- Mock Innsbruck 2020
- Mock La Serena 2023
- Mock Barcelona 2024
The Mock conferences are curated workshops focused on the galaxy-halo connection, plus a new topic in each conference. The goal of Mock NYC is to bring together leading researchers in the galaxy-halo connection as well as key representatives from current and upcoming galaxy surveys to promote constructive and respectful discussions and collaborations.
In 2026, our theme is Improving Galaxy Modeling for Cosmological Inference.
The subtopics for the meeting include:
- Galaxy Modeling
- Machine Learning for cosmology and galaxy formation
- Cosmological inference
- The implications of the galaxy-halo connection on galaxy formation models and cosmology
- Lensing, clustering, & beyond-2pt
Thanks to the financial support of the Center for Computational Astrophysics through the Simons Foundation, there will be no registration fee, and breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks during the meeting will be provided.
We look forward to seeing you in NYC!
